Minna Telde and Isac (SWB by Hip Hop out of Abigail (F2) 25229 by Master-Ciceron, bred and owned by Per-Christer Bengtsson) placed 9th in the Final for 5-year olds.

Greetings (SWB by Don Romantic out of Menuette 24794 by Nocturne-Utrillo, breeder Malin and Dag Erlandsson, owner Ingrid Nyström) and Sandra Sterntorp placed 5th in the Consolation final for 6-year olds.

Anna Svanberg and the Swedish Warmblood mare Deja 28710 (by Silvano out of Donellie by Don Schufro-Amiral) placed 3d in the 6-year old preliminary test. Deja bred and owned by Marie Haward scored 8.9 for trot, 8.7 for walk, 8.9 for canter, 8.8 for submission, 8.9 for general impression and totaled 8.84 Deja gave birth to a filly by Richfield 2008.

"The biggest surprise of the day and, in my opinion, one of the most delightful rides was third place-getter Anna Svanberg and the mare Deja 5 (Silvano – Don Schufro) of Sweden. Anna was completely surprised by her overall score of 8.84, the highest she has ever scored with the mare.

The softness of the connection with the bit was, to my mind, the best of the day and something the owner, Marie Haward, loves about Anna’s riding. After unexpectedly taking the lead from the favorite, Honnerups Driver, all of Deja 5’s connection were in smiles and tears!"

"One of the most talented and best presented horses of the day was Swedish surprise Deja (by Silvano x Don Schufro). The dark bay Swedish warmblood mare, bred and owned by Marie Haward, was a joy to watch. Anne Svanberg rode the big-framed mare with exceptional cadence in trot. She was at all times light in the bridle and executed good traversal movements. The rein back was mediocre and she got a bit unsteady in the contact in the extended walk, even though both walk extensions on the diagonal were nice. The canter work had good collection and Deja carried herself well. The first flying change was fluent, the second a bit croupe high.

Deja was an exemplification of the "Happy Athlete" and the crowds cheered when she finished her ride."

Manchester (SWB by Weltman out of Marchessa 24727 by Midt-West Ibi-Light-Amiral, breeder/owner Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfvén) and rider Jennie Larsson placed 8th in the Consolation finals for 5-year olds.

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced today that fifteen horse/rider combinations will be participating in the USEF Selection Trials for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Dressage Team, held at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions.

This class will be held as one of five National Dressage Championships in Gladstone, NJ over two weekends of competition. The competition runs August 6-8 and August 13-15, 2010. 

Leslie Morse and her Swedish stallion Tip Top 962 is one of the combinations on the long list which qualified to compete in Gladstone following high score averages obtained at CDI competitions this past show season.

Central America and Caribbean Games 2010, Mayaguez, PUR 21-31 july

Alejandro Gomez (VEN) and his own Swedish Warmblood stallion Revenge (born 1998 by Bellini out of Karisma 18377 by Any Questions-Parnass, breeder Wiveka Ågård) placed 5th in Intermediare I, individual final and 2d in Prix St Georges, team championships.

Revenge (Lövenborgs Revenge 100RH) was approved in Norway. He won the Breeders Trophy final in Norway 2003 and 2004. Revenge competed in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses both as 5 and 6-year old and was placed in Grand Prix with Per Waaler before he was exported to Venezuela.

Esmee Ingham and Norseman (SWB born 1996 by Flaminko out of Sonja 23912 by Garrant-Prince Beyond xx) won a bronze medal in the musical freestyle!

The 2010 European Eventing Championships for Young Riders, staged at Pardubice Racecourse, Czech Republic 30 July-1 August

Hannes Melin (SWE) and Gaston KLG (SWB born 1999 by Dardel out of Nao Faz Mal xx by Cheif Singer xx-Shirley Heights xx, breeder Christoffer Alwén) won the individual silver medal!

Frida Andersén (SWE) and Herta (SWB by Cortus out of Herica (F4) 26220 by Krius xx-Labrador, breeder Anderséns fälttävlanscentrum) placed 11th.

The Swedish team with won the bronze medal.

All horses in the team are Swedish Warmbloods:

Esmee Ingham and her brown gelding Norseman (born 1996 by Flaminko out of Sonja 23912 by Garrant-Prince Beyond xx) in the Canada B/C team won junior team gold! Esmee and Norseman placed 2d in the Junior team test.

"As temperatures soared by mid-afternoon, “We got really hot and tired during the warm-up,” said Ingham of the winning team, “and my coach asked me if I had just 10 more minutes in me.”

“I was thrilled with him and his performance, and I’m feeling really confident about tomorrow,” Ingham said of her 14-year-old Swedish Warmblood. “He was a little lazy in the warm-up, but as soon as we walked down into the stadium, he perked up for me. He was on the edge, and I was able to contain it.”

Norsemans father Flaminko CRB 9042 is by Flamingo out of Lankella (50) 8714 by Lansiär 377. Lankella is also mother of the stallion Flamenco CRB 9050 and the fantastic mare Flamkella 11553. Flamkella is also mother of two stallions - Amiral 764 and Bombay 898, both was successfully in Grand Prix.

Norsemans dame is by Garrant CRB 9004 - a son of the famous dressage stallion Gaspari 340.
